Dental veneers are very thin shells that are designed to cover the front surface of your teeth in order to improve the appearance of your smile.

Veneers are used to fix:

  • Teeth that are worn down
  • Chipped or broken teeth
  • Gaps in your smile
  • Teeth that have been discolored
  • Teeth that are uneven or irregularly shaped

What to expect at your appointment

Receiving your veneers will usually take three appointments- one consultation and two visits to make and apply the veneers. At the first visit you’ll discuss the result that you’d like to achieve. Dr. Behnaz Raisdana will examine your teeth to make sure you’re a good candidate for veneers. At the second visit, you’ll have around ½ millimeter of enamel removed from the surface of the teeth receiving veneers and a mold will be taken of your teeth. This mold will be sent to a dental lab, which will construct the veneers. This process usually takes a week or two. At your third and last visit, your teeth will be cleaned and polished in order to receive the veneers and then they will be placed on your teeth and cemented down.
