Citrus Fruits

While creating a healthy diet, citrus fruits are usually among the most popular foods. This is why you may be surprised to learn that dietary acids are among the most common causes of tooth erosion, and citrus fruits are the top contenders. Since their pH levels are so low, they can damage the frontal enamel of the teeth. However, they are nutrient-dense, so you shouldn’t completely cut them out. Consume them in moderation and wash them down with water to minimize the harmful effects.

Herbal Tea

The health benefits of herbal tea are amazing. It is high in antioxidants, which can protect against DNA damage. It accelerates fat burning and reduces the risk of several diseases. However, various studies have shown that teeth that are regularly exposed to herbal teas are more susceptible to loss of tooth enamel. Even though black tea and black coffee also have similar effects, herbal tea seems to cause the highest amount of surface loss. Again, you shouldn’t need to give up on the health benefits of herbal tea. Just practice moderation when it comes to consuming it.
