Attempting to find the right dentist for you and your family can be difficult, confusing, and overwhelming at times. This is especially true if you have a family comprised of children and adults. It’s a challenge to find a dentist who can provide everything you need.

Tips on Finding the Right Dentist

Here at Auburn Family Dental, we’re able to offer services for the whole family, kids, and adults! We provide quality dental care to all of our patients and can help you with insurance questions and dental concerns. Below are a few tips on how to find the right dentist for yourself and your whole family:

  • Ask about insurance and payment plans – One of the first things to do before you choose a dentist is to make sure they accept your dental insurance. If so, great! If you don’t have dental insurance, you may want to ask your prospective dental office if they offer payment plans.
  • Consider the hours and location of the practice – It’s not silly or selfish to consider the office’s location and hours to make sure it’s convenient for you. For example, if you work during the day, check if a dental office is open later in the evening or on the weekends.
  • Ask how emergencies are handled – Dental emergencies do occur. Ask your potential dental office how emergencies are handled and if they have enough flexibility to fit you in at the last minute for a dental emergency.
  • Talk to the dentist and staff – Lastly, consider visiting the dental office to get to know the dentist and the staff. Bring your children along to help them feel comfortable in the office. It’s important to choose a dentist who makes you feel comfortable and who you’re able to communicate with.

Here at Auburn Family Dental, we look forward to getting to know your family and providing you with a dental home. To make an appointment for the whole family, please contact our Wichita, KS general dentist’s office today.
